LPAC Endorses 19 State and Local Candidates During Pride Month

Washington, D.C. –Today, LPAC, the nation’s only organization dedicated to advancing the political representation of LGBTQ+ women and nonbinary candidates, endorsed 19 out LGBTQ+ women and nonbinary candidates for state and local offices. 

Included in this slate are several candidates running for state and local office, including Lindsey Dougherty and Risë Hayes running for seats in the Virginia House of Delegates, Billie Butler for New Hampshire House of Representatives, and Ry Armstrong running for Mayor of Seattle.

“Pride would not be possible without progress, and for that we thank the incredible LGBTQ+ and nonbinary leaders running for office up and down the ballot, in red and blue states,” said Janelle Perez, Executive Director of LPAC. “This month’s slate of candidates boldly represent the values LPAC holds at our core: that representation matters, that trans and nonbinary people belong, and that we all deserve a seat at the table.”
