LPAC endorses Maura Healey for Governor of Massachusetts

Washington, DC (March 31, 2022) — LPAC, the national political organization dedicated to electing more LGBTQ women to public office, announced today its Board of Directors has voted to endorse Maura Healey in her campaign for Governor of Massachusetts.

LPAC is committed to building diverse political representation by increasing the number of LGBTQ+ women in elected office. LPAC endorses and invests in LGBTQ+ women up and down the ballot who champion the organization's core values of women's rights, LGBTQ+ equality, and social justice.

“LPAC was proud to endorse Maura Healey in 2014 when she became the first openly LGBTQ+ person ever elected as a state attorney general,” said LPAC Executive Director Lisa Turner. “Throughout her two terms in office Maura has shown herself to be a tireless champion for women and LGBTQ+ people. The LPAC Board is excited to back such a fierce advocate again as she seeks to make further history as the first open lesbian elected as a governor in the United States.”
