Maya Morales

Maya Morales is a Democrat running for Whatcom County Council, WA (District 2).

Maya Morales currently serves as one of three Whatcom County Charter Review Commissioners for the district, making her the first openly lesbian commissioner in the area. In 2021, Morales played a key role in passing two local ballot initiatives and founded WA People's Privacy, an organization that advocates for technology justice and data privacy, focusing on abortion rights and gender-affirming care.
