Marsha Silverman

Marsha Silverman is running for a fourth two-year term on the Glen Cove City Council.

Silverman first decided to run in 2017 due to zoning issues and was the top Democratic vote-getter. She was re-elected in 2019 and again 2021. On the council she has focused on establishing clear procurement and asset management standards, while also pushing issues like recognizing Pride month. Outside of politics she is a financial data analyst.

Her priorities this election cycle is to ensure all Glen Cove residents have a voice in government “regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or income.” This includes continuing to provide programming for underrepresented groups. She is also focused on improving the city’s finances by implementing long term budgeting and capital planning, and curbing over-development.
