Marisol Rubio

San Ramon City Councilmember Marisol Rubio is a Democrat running for an open seat in the California State Senate.

Rubio is a San Ramon City Councilmember, a home health care provider and neurobiologist. She is the daughter of a first-generation immigrant and single parent. Rubio is serving her first term on the San Ramon City Council after winning an open seat with 63 percent of the vote.

This is a solidly Democratic open seat that covers parts of Contra Costa and Alameda counties in the East Bay area. Rubio is focused on healthcare, education, housing, and the environment.
