Joce Pritchett

Joce Pritchett was the first openly LGBTQ person to run for statewide office in Mississippi. She lost in the general election.

Pritchett and her wife, Carla Webb, were one of two couples who served as plaintiffs in the same-sex marriage case Campaign for Southern Equality v. Bryant which, decided in their favor, allowed them to have dual parental rights to their children without needing to carry power-of-attorney papers prior to the Supreme Court’s Obergefell v. Hodges decision.

Pritchett is a principal in Pritchett Steinbeck Group, an engineering company based in Tampa, FL.
