Dulce Vasquez

Dulce Vasquez is a Democrat running for a seat in the California State Assembly that covers parts of south and southeastern LA.

Vasquez ran for Los Angeles City Council in 2020, frustrated by how the city and state were handling the pandemic and by the fact that mixed immigration status families were ineligible for stimulus checks. She ran a strong campaign challenging an incumbent in that race, receiving 34 percent of the vote.

This is a solidly Democratic district that covers parts of south and southeastern LA, including downtown LA and Skid Row. Vasquez is focused on housing, education, and mental health.
