State Rep. Daneya Esgar is a Democrat running for re-election to the Colorado State House’s 46th district.

Esgar was first elected to the Colorado House of Representatives in 2014. She was the first LGBTQ person from Pueblo to run and win elected office. Esgar currently serves as the Chair of the Joint Budget Committee and Vice Chair of the Appropriations Committee.

Her priorities are equity for all, land and water conservation, and providing more adequate funding for education.
