Caroline Smith

 

 

Caroline Smith is running unopposed for an open seat on the New Haven Board of Alders in Connecticut.

Smith moved to New Haven 13 years ago to attend Yale University. After graduating, she co-founded Collab, a recognized nonprofit that reduces barriers for New Haven residents to start businesses with a specific focus on supporting women, people with lower-incomes, people of color, and immigrants. She also co-founded aapiNHV, which provides resources for the growing local Asian community in New Haven.

The Board of Alders, the equivalent of a city council, is comprised of 30 alders who serve two-year terms. Smith is focused on economic opportunity, climate justice, and quality of life.
