Carey McDonald lives in Malden with their partner and two children. They are currently serving their second term as an At-Large City Councillor in Malden and are seeking reelection. Carey played a key role in developing the city's first Climate Action Plan and implemented the Community Electricity Program to promote the use of renewable energy. They also serve as the Executive Vice President of the Unitarian Universalist Association.
