Athena Aguiar

Athena Aguiar is running for Eugene City Council in Oregon.

Athena knows north Eugene, as a former Sheldon High School student and active community advocate. Since high school she has been active, as the President of her school’s Gender Sexuality Alliance club and an involved member of the Asian Student Union. She focused in on the environment and received her Bachelor’s in Biology from Coe College before returning to Eugene to work for The Walama Restoration Project, where she maintained and restored threatened ecosystems in critical watersheds. She then worked at the Fund for the Public Interest supporting environmental advocacy causes.
