Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth

 

 

Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth is running for election to the Chicago City Council in Ward 48.

Manaa-Hoppenworth has owned and operated a small business for 20 years. In the community, she has served as a parent representative on the Chicago Public School’s Local School Council and Democratic delegate for Illinois’ 9th Congressional District. She co-founded the statewide groups Indivisible Illinois and ILVOTE, a group dedicated to promoting statewide voter advocacy and engagement. She serves on the board of the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce and is the co-chair of the DEI committee at the Chamber.

Her campaign is focused on health, housing, and public safety. She has been endorsed by Chicago NOW PAC, LGBTQ+ Victory Fund, Asian American Midwest Progressives, Illinois Nurses Association, Vote Mama, Indivisible Illinois, and several local and state elected officials.
