Cecelia González is an educator, grassroots activist, organizer, and new mother. González is the daughter of immigrant parents and a first-generation college graduate; she is currently pursuing her doctorate.

González was first elected to the Nevada State Assembly in 2020, winning an open seat with 65 percent of the vote.
