Sarah McBride

State Sen. Sarah McBride is running for the U.S. House of Representatives in Delaware’s at-large Congressional district. If she wins, she would be the first openly trans person ever elected to a Congress.

In 2020, Sarah made history as the first openly trans person in the United States elected to a state senate chamber. LPAC also endorsed her in that election.

Previously, Sarah was the National Press Secretary for HRC and in 2016 made history at the Democratic National Convention as the first trans person to have a major speaking spot at a major party convention.

She previously worked for former Delaware Governor Jack Markell and former Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden.
