Lyn Franks
Lyn Franks is a Democrat running for election to the Alaska State House’s 15th district.
Franks is an educator in the Anchorage School District and an adjunct professor at the University of Alaska Anchorage. She previously ran for this seat in 2018, losing to the incumbent by 241 votes. She was inspired to become politically active after participating in the local Women’s March following the 2016 elections.
Her priorities are public safety and addressing domestic violence, funding education, and protecting the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend.
