Liz Bennett

State Rep. Liz Bennett is a Democrat running for election to the Iowa State Senate.

Bennett was first elected to the State House in 2014, and was the first openly LGBTQ person elected to the Iowa Legislature. Outside of politics she works at a technology firm, and previously was a regional organizer for the LGBTQ advocacy organization One Iowa.

Her priorities are racial justice and criminal justice reform, education, and climate change. She has been a progressive leader in the State House.
