Leigh Finke
Leigh Finke is a Democrat running for re-election to the Minnesota State House of Representatives. Finke is the first openly trans person to serve in the Minnesota legislature.
Leigh Finke is an activist, organizer, and writer who was first elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in 2022, becoming the first openly transgender state legislator. Finke serves as the Chair of the MN Legislators Queer Caucus.
Prior to her election, Leigh worked for the ACLU of Minnesota and is now the Executive Director of Queer Equity Institute, a non-profit devoted to expanding civic engagement for queer communities in the Midwest.
