Laurie Jinkins
Laurie Jinkins is the Speaker of the Washington House of Representatives. She is running for re-election for District 27-Position 1.
Jinkins was first elected to the legislature in 2010 and elected Speaker in 2020. She was the first openly LGBTQ woman elected to the legislature and the first woman and LGBTQ person elected Speaker.
Her priorities are providing support to vulnerable populations affected by the COVID-19 crisis and addressing the economic impacts fo the pandemic on state and local budgets. She is also planning on having the legislature take steps to address systemic racism.
