Kyrsten Sinema

Kyrsten Sinema was elected to the US Senate in 2018. She previously served in the US House of Representatives, first elected in 2012. She was the first openly bisexual person elected to Congress.

Senator Sinema previously served in both houses of the Arizona Legislature. During her time in state government, she passed a laws to help veterans get in-state tuition at public universities in Arizona, cracking down on sex trafficking, and advocating for children’s health and education.

Now she works every day to deliver for Arizona families — expanding access to quality, affordable health care, helping veterans get the benefits they’ve earned, creating good-paying jobs for Arizonans, and keeping Americans save at home and abroad.
