Kathy Ellis is a Democrat running for election to the U.S. House of Representatives in Missouri’s 8th Congressional district.

Ellis is a clinical social worker and addictions counselor and was born and raised in Missouri. She was the Democratic nominee in this race in 2018.

Her platform is focused on address disparities in rural healthcare, promoting unions and worker’s rights, and advancing significant rural economic development. She would be the first LGBTQ person to represent Missouri in Congress.
