Giona Picheco is a Democrat running for a seat in the Rhode Island House of Representatives.

Giona Picheco is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a sociology teacher, and a community advocate. Picheco is challenging incumbent Democrat Charlene Lima. She previously ran for this seat in 2022.

If elected, she would be the first openly trans state legislator ever elected in Rhode Island.
