Brenda Gadd

 

 

Brenda Gadd is running for an open seat on the Metropolitan Nashville Council in Tennessee. She is seeking to represent District 24.

Gadd has not previously run for office but is a longtime community leader. She previously was the director of government affairs for the Tennessee Bar Association. Earlier in her career she was the chief of staff to a state senator and worked in Democratic Gov. Phil Bredesen’s administration. She has also been involved in the community, serving on the Metro Nashville Gender Equity Council and Metro Nashville Board of Equalization.

Her campaign priorities are full funding public schools and supporting students and teachers, fostering community-based development, and neighborhood safety. She has been endorsed by Tennessee Advocates for Planned Parenthood, the Central Labor Council, SEIU Local 205, Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition, Metro Nashville Educators Association, and Nashville Justice League.
